This was a special shoot for a couple of reasons. Firstly, I got to shoot it in my Korean home town of Tongyeong. I’ve often expressed to my friends how fortunate I am to be living in such a beautiful part of the country, so I’m always excited to show off Tongyeong’s stunning scenery in photos. Secondly, my couple for this shoot were fellow Filipinos, which is always a good time!
I picked a wide range of scenery to give our photos a nice variety. Luckily Tongyeong has so much to offer in terms of backgrounds. From stunning seaside views to epic mountaintop vistas, tranquil forest paths to Korean traditional spaces, Tongyeong has it all. Notable locations on this particular shoot include the Tongyeong Cable Car, Miraesa pine forest, and Chungryeol Shrine.
Although it seemed to be under the radar for the longest time, Tongyeong has recently enjoyed increased popularity with locals. Hopefully this post will help spread the word to international couples and families as well.
If you’re in the southern part of Korea and are looking for a relaxing destination, I wholeheartedly recommend taking a look at Tongyeong. It’s home to stunning locations, a relaxing, laid-back vibe, and a photographer who would be happy to make some photos with you there. 😉
Please enjoy some of my favorite images from Sharmaine and Jaycee’s engagement shoot in Tongyeong.
