I had the pleasure of working with Lavinia and family in Seoul in late June. We originally had an outdoor session planned at the palaces, but our shooting schedule turned out to be smack in the middle of Jangma, or monsoon season. This means lots of rain and very unpredictable weather. Because of this, we decided to play it safe and take the shoot indoors. I found a great studio in the Yongsan area. 179 Art Studio is a modern and spacious studio on the slopes of Namsan mountain. They have various rooms that are often used for photo and video shoots. We had a great time shooting in the two spaces that we rented. Each had its own look and we ended up with some great photos. At the end of the shoot, we decided the studio was a great choice overall because of the hot and humid weather that day. Most of all, our youngest subject was able to crawl around freely and comfortably in the studio.
