Some time ago, I had the great pleasure of working with Kenneth and Angélica for their pre-wedding portrait session at Dadaepo Beach in Busan. As the autumn season was drawing to a close in late November, the vast fields of elegant silvergrass—a beloved Korean autumn specialty—were in full bloom, painting the landscape with a stunning golden-silver sheen.
Dadaepo is truly a versatile location. While it is famous all year round for its wide, serene coastline and dramatic sunsets, it becomes exceptionally magical during the autumn months when the silvergrass is high. This session perfectly utilized both environments.
We started the afternoon navigating the wooden boardwalks and towering grass fields, which provided a beautifully textured, intimate backdrop for Kenneth and Angélica’s portraits. As the sun began to dip toward the horizon, we transitioned to the wide-open shores to capture some classic, quiet silhouettes against the tranquil golden hour and ocean.
It was an honor to document this special milestone for Kenneth and Angélica, blending their warm, authentic chemistry with one of Busan’s finest natural backdrops.
