High School Senior Portraits in Busan – South Korea Portrait Photographer

Some time ago, I was contacted by Samantha’s mother to help document a truly significant milestone: her high school senior portrait session. Senior photography is all about celebrating a student’s personality and achievements during this exciting transition into adulthood. For a huge fan of K-culture, there is absolutely no better place to capture these lifelong memories than right here in South Korea.

We split our warm October afternoon between two contrasting, beautiful locations in Busan. We began high up on the hill at Bokcheon-sa Temple. It is worth noting for future clients that accessing this temple is not for the faint of heart due to the incredibly steep incline. However, if you brave the climb, you are richly rewarded with fantastic city views, historic textures, and brilliant traditional architecture.

From there, we headed down to the coastal cliffs of Huinnyeoul Culture Village. Samantha was a natural in front of the camera, easily shifting from the village’s vibrant, colorful murals and graphic painted walls to the soft, natural seaside views. We timed the final frames perfectly with Busan’s signature coastal sunset, capturing gorgeous, relaxed portraits overlooking the shimmering harbor.

Thank you to Samantha and her mom for a creative and memorable afternoon!
