Some time ago, I had the pleasure of photographing Mona and Michael in Seoul. Visiting from the Philippines with their family, they wanted to capture engagement portraits with vibrant fall foliage and traditional Korean architecture as their backdrop. We chose Changdeokgung and Changgyeonggung Palaces to make that vision a reality.
When it comes to autumn colors, timing is everything—but also unpredictable. Our shoot date typically falls right at peak foliage, but that year the colors arrived a little late, and some leaves hadn’t fully turned yet. Fortunately, there was still plenty of autumn beauty to work with, and Mona and Michael brought so much warmth and joy to the session that the photos turned out beautifully.
