I recently had the pleasure of spending a beautiful April afternoon with Dana and Terry for a couple portrait session at the scenic Huinnyeoul Culture Village in Busan. Perched on the cliffs of Yeongdo, the village is an absolute gem year-round, offering an incredible mix of vibrant local art and sweeping ocean views.
We spent most of our session exploring the winding alleyways, which are filled with colorful murals, unique coastal architecture, and charming staircases that look straight out onto the sea. Dana and Terry’s relaxed energy made it incredibly easy to capture natural, candid moments against these bright, artistic backdrops.
For the finale, we wanted to capture Busan’s famous coastal sunset. Unfortunately, for us, it ended up a bit cloudy but we got some nice photos anyway. It is worth noting a recent logistical update for future clients: due to post-construction scheduling, the lower seaside walking path at Huinnyeoul now closes at 4:00 PM. To make sure we still got those beautiful shoreline portraits, we took a quick five-minute drive to a nearby coastal path just down the road. It was the perfect spot to catch the soft evening light reflecting off the water.
Tip for travelers: If you are looking to combine the colorful village alleys with a true seaside sunset shot, I highly recommend booking one of our longer packages to ensure we have ample time to transit and cover both locations comfortably.
