An Afternoon in Gyeongju – Ulsan, Daegu, Busan, Family Photographer

I recently had the pleasure of working with the Ulsan-based Abaray family. Mom Christina specifically wanted a Korean traditional background to commemorate their short assignment in South Korea. When it comes to the Ulsan / Daegu / Busan area, there’s no better place for Korean traditional backdrops than the city of Gyeongju. Traveling to Gyeongju from these nearby cities is fairly easy and quite worth it.

We started our shoot at the Woljeonggyo, a centuries-old bridge that was recently restored. Unfortunately, it was closed that day, but there are still some great angles around it. Afterwards, we walked over to the nearby Confucian Village. Shooting in the late afternoon gave us some beautiful golden light and I would definitely recommend that time for any portrait session.

Overall, it was a great day out with the Abaray family! Below are some of my favorite shots from this session.
