Jordan’s Birthday Portraits – Tongyeong Korea Family Photographer

I was thrilled when my old friend Jarrett asked me to take photos of his family. His second son, Jordan, was turning 1 and they wanted to have some photos taken for his birthday album, as well as some family photos to send to their family back in Canada. For this shoot, we opted to rent a local studio, commonly known in Korea as a “self studio” (셀프스튜디오). This would be very convenient and fun, as self studios come fully equipped with wardrobe and props for the kids, not to mention lights and backgrounds. It was fun playing dress up and snapping pictures and I was glad I could be a part of Jordan’s first birthday celebration.

Jarrett was kind enough to share some feedback about the session:

“It was a great experience. He interacted well with my wife and I and more importantly the children. He had advice but was also receptive and adaptable to our specific need and requests. More importantly, we walked away with excellent, professional photos. They’re good memories captured forever.” – J. Butcher
