One of the absolute best places to take portraits in Seoul is at the palaces. There’s no shortage of beautiful backgrounds and picturesque corners that are uniquely Korea. Visitors also love to experience the centuries-old architecture while wearing the Korean traditional Hanbok. Fortunately, there are so many places to rent them, especially around Gyeongbokgung and Changdeokgung. Not only do you get to dress the part, but showing up in a Hanbok will also get you into the palaces for free.
I had a good time taking photos at Gyeongbokgung Palace with the park family. It was an early April shoot, which meant very unpredictable spring weather. We definitely had some weather-related curveballs thrown at us during the shoot, but the family stuck with it and we were able to get some memorable photos.
